High Vibe Events is looking for a Social Media Marketing Manager with a strong background not only in creating and publishing content across a multitude of platforms, but also in generating revenue and acquiring new clients through social media. You'll be the ideal candidate if you're equal parts creative innovator and analytical problem solver.

Our team is small, but growing with each event. The ideal candidate must be a confident and reliable relationship builder, and a fast and creative thinker. This person must be a collaborator and interested in new and innovative strategies for moving the business forward. This person must also have great attention to detail, the ability to effectively manage projects with competing deadlines (which we will set together) and a commitment to excellence.

They must also be actively interested in community, philanthropy, travel/tourism, and a healthy lifestyle. How you will impact the business:

  • Develop a rich, distinguishable and consistent voice for the company across the web.

  • Develop aggressive follower and engagement goals for the company.

  • Create the company’s Facebook, LinkedIn and Pinterest pages.

  • Generate compelling, informative, entertaining and topical content for the brand, on

  • Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest.

  • Create text for all images and video content

  • Help plan, budget for and manage the resources and timelines necessary to build content

  • Have a demonstrated awareness of the types of content that are most effective on each platform.

  • Track weekly stats on social media engagement, click-throughs and follower numbers, and aim to increase all metrics.

  • Drive revenue through creative and targeted paid social campaigns.

  • Create and maintain and the social media calendar.

  • Attend end user events to capture site-worthy content.

  • Integrate SEO

  • Monitor and respond in a timely manner to all comments, direct messages, @ mentions and any other form of online feedback.

  • Stay up to speed on industry best practices, developments, trends and shifts in the social landscape

  • Ongoing competitive analysis of competitors’ social media presences to stay up-to-date with leading best practices.

  • Create, create, create, measure and create some more.

 

 

What you have:

  • Relationship-building skills with a never quit attitude.

  • Creative thinking, self-motivation and strong initiative.

  • Command of the English language; strong writing, editing and communication skills.

  • Ability to work both independently, with minimal supervision, and as part of a team.

  • Exposure to event operations, planning and marketing.

  • An eye for good design.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines

  • Ability to operate with an elevated level of decorum and discretion at events.

  • Sense of responsibility and pride in your work.

  • Proven track record of driving customer acquisition through social channels.

  • Knowledge of online metrics and statistics reporting tools such as Google Analytics.

  • A creative and varied mindset that will drive you to try multiple tactics to increase KPIs.

    • “If at first you don’t succeed, try, try and try again!”

  • Online marketing experience and previous social media success is preferred.

  • SEO knowledge and web writing experience is preferred.

  • A love of music, good coffee, animals and the outdoors is definitely preferred!

The hours are part-time to start and not specific for this scope of work. Scheduling will be determined together as we want the work flow to be in everyone’s favor. Our ultimate goal is to find a good fit. Although we love and prefer in-person interaction, the position could be remote for the right candidate. We're casual and informal but we work hard and work responsibly.
